When we send in a Note Activity (or any Activity) is there any trigger on the screen that tells the end user there is an update to that opportunity? For instance, is there a dashboard they monitor and would there be some flag that says it has been updated?

No, there is not a trigger on
No, there is not a trigger on the screen that tells the end user there was an update to a given opportunity. In terms of a dashboard they might monitor, the Desk Log will show new Appointment activities for the current day only, but refreshes every 5 minutes so its not necessarily a 'real-time' update.
